Not sure what to say?

Van - Will miss you buddy. You always made me laugh.

Have a story for you , as I picture it your at the gate with St Peter trying to broker your way in and you tell him all the good deeds you've done & he says I'll let you into heaven on one condition Van. You say whats the condition? . He says No more seasonal credits on those Ag haulers.

In all seriousness, I miss our friendship and early those morning chats and your jokes and stories.

Van was loved by all who knew him. He was always kind, fair and funny. A great boss and most importantly, a true friend. He will be greatly missed.

Well Van, you are at peace and I am thankful. You will never know how grateful I am to have known you. You were a great boss and best friend. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, your sense of humor (sometimes a little sick)and most of all the memories which will be with me forever. No doubt you were one of a kind. Thank you for 21 years of putting up with me at BMT.

Van will be greatly missed. I am sure the heavens are just laughing up a storm now with all of his jokes. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Van and I were childhood friends and classmates from Kindergarten through high school. Many hours were spent in sports, boy scouts and just being buddies. Van was the topic of one of my Kruses Muses published in San Diego two years ago. I had lunch with Van little over a year ago-remembering the good old days in Walnut Grove. God Bless you, Van. Rest in peace, my friend.

Van was a truly remarkable man. Always friendly, always a friend and always had a joke. I will miss him very much.
