You would not know me personally but I was in the Freddy's restaurant in Lee's Summit, MO. and when I sat down to eat my meal I looked to my left and there was a framed of soldiers. It said Freddy served in the south pacific. My father did also as a 1st lieutenant. Is there a connection?

I knew him as Uncle Fred, long before he was Freddy to everyone else. I can honestly say that he is one of the best men I will ever have the good fortune to know. He was a wonderful example of kindness, humility, & courage, and most importantly, what a Christian man should look like. Sad for us today, but happy for him, as I know he's back with his sweetheart today. God bless Fred & Norma.

I've never known a stronger, kinder man than Fred Simon. He was a man of faith and family, a family that was as large as his heart. He welcomed me as a son, and my children still know him as Papa Fred. I'll never forget him.

Fred Simon became our friend in the mid-1980's when he worked as a representative for a local company and called on our business. He ultimately spoiled us with his dedication, kindness, and commitment and we gladly patronized his products exclusively. We remained friends when Fred changed vendors knowing we could always count on him. When one of his products became unavailable in Wichita, Fred, without being asked, drove to Kansas City and brought it to us personally. As a veteran myself...
