You would not know me personally but I was in the Freddy's restaurant in Lee's Summit, MO. and when I sat down to eat my meal I looked to my left and there was a framed of soldiers. It said Freddy served in the south pacific. My father did also as a 1st lieutenant. Is there a connection?

I knew him as Uncle Fred, long before he was Freddy to everyone else. I can honestly say that he is one of the best men I will ever have the good fortune to know. He was a wonderful example of kindness, humility, & courage, and most importantly, what a Christian man should look like. Sad for us today, but happy for him, as I know he's back with his sweetheart today. God bless Fred & Norma.

I've never known a stronger, kinder man than Fred Simon. He was a man of faith and family, a family that was as large as his heart. He welcomed me as a son, and my children still know him as Papa Fred. I'll never forget him.

Fred Simon became our friend in the mid-1980's when he worked as a representative for a local company and called on our business. He ultimately spoiled us with his dedication, kindness, and commitment and we gladly patronized his products exclusively. We remained friends when Fred changed vendors knowing we could always count on him. When one of his products became unavailable in Wichita, Fred, without being asked, drove to Kansas City and brought it to us personally. As a veteran myself he was a treasure to know and and we will truly miss his kindness. Heaven is a richer place, God Bless Fred Simon.

I did not know the gentleman personally, but he has been a part of my life since Freddy's first hit the scene on West 21st St. in Wichita, KS. My spouse and I moved to Arizona in 2013 and to our surprise and great happiness, we found Freddy's here. Freddy's life story and photos have been read and enjoyed with each visit and his memory will live on because of this. It's not just about the great food. May you rest in peace Sir and thank you for your service to our great country.

Uncle Fred was our hero. His help and guidance to mom and our family was just one of his many acts of kindness. He will be missed and he will never be forgotten, may his soul rest in peace.

Sending our deepest condolences to the Simon family. Freddy was my Daddy’s best hunting buddy, and made it to heaven just in time for pheasant season opening with Daddy and Jordon.
Much love to all.

I remember Freddy coming out to Dubs, and hunting at the duck pond, and fishing. Was a gentle man, soft spoken. Will allways be remembered. Sorry for the family’s loss.

Fred was the number one role model in my life. I loved him like a father. He taught me many things but the biblical teaching Love thy neighbor was shown in his everyday kindness to everyone. He was always smiling .and his smile was contagious even in stressful times. He taught me safe hunting and fun fishing. I could keep typing for hours on how wonderful he was to me. I Love You Fred , Tell Norma, Margie , and Gramps thanks for the prayers. God is listening and helping us.
