Kathy, Megan, Johnny, and Michael,

My heart goes out to you all as I know how much your father and grandfather meant to you. My hope is that you find comfort in the coming days, knowing he is with your grandmother now and forever.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your father Marybeth. You and your family are in my prayers. Maria Bird

I have so many memories of my dear uncle Fred, but the best was when he would take me and my family out on the boat on the Chesapeake and would teach us how to really fish! To the entire Wegener family my sincerest condolences. I worked for Fred right out of college testing 688 clash submarines at NNSY. We worked hard and played hard back in those days. Fred was easily the best boss I ever had. Many of his subordinates have gone on to fantastic positions of authority both inside and outside of NNSY. He was one of a kind and will be missed by all.

Thanks for the many memories. Classmate of Bob's at NYSMC, Class of '52, travel companion with Geri, the Baumlers and the Zimmermanns, and a good friend. God Bless!
