Not sure what to say?

Dear Zemans family: My sympathy go forth to you as I remember my dear friend colleague and Toronto "family" whose company and love I enjoyed for many years. May his life be a blessing. In sadness Carrie Menkel-Meadow and Bob Meadow

We were deeply saddened to hear of Fred´s passing and grateful To Fred for his friendship and mentoring during the Parkdale years. At 80 years old having spent over 50 of them in the law I look back and recall with gratitude a great inciteful and sensitive Teacher who opened a door of learning on society unique and enduring which was inspiring and truly shaped the years to come for so many students. The lesson he taught amongst so many became a guiding principle of living - that there is...

Joyce Zemans & family, I was so sorry to read of your loss of a great family member! Life just speeds by too quickly! It seems a short while ago that I sat in a lecture room at York U giving my rapt attention to Dr. Joyce Zemans fantastic lectures, a great addition to my life. With condolences from my family as well, Alice Burton

Then, when I applied for a subsequent graduate program, he wrote a reference and couriered it to the university. His...

RIP FRED

My arrival at Osgoode Hall Law School would not have been the same without Fred. And my 12 years of happiness there were in large part a tribute to him and Joyce. I join Fred´s family in celebrating the life of a wonderful, caring man. Louise Arbour

Fred was a pioneer of clinical legal education and poverty law. Even more importantly he was a wise, kind and dedicated friend and mentor. We've learned to miss him over these last years, but this doesn't make his passing any easier to bear.

Ever grateful for Fred helping me become the lawyer I became -- and of course his helping many many others at Parkdale Community Legal Services
