I had the pleasure of meeting you at a diner on the corner of Skiff and Whitney, the name escapes me but the memory of my father introducing you to me will always be in my heart. My you rest in peace. Thank you for giving beauty to this world.

I sang with Fred at the brookside apartments with Kenny Nolan. Before they were The Satins. Fred was a goo d friend and Marty Krogel and Tom. We're awesome guys too.

When my wife and I married, in 1980, in Los Angeles, when the band took a break, my family and I got up on stage and sang "In the Still of the Night". This was the first time I was allowed to sing lead on a song!

One of the best days of my life was the day I got to meet Mr. Parris at the coffee shop where I was working at the time. Knowing my love of great music, my coworker asked if I knew who he was. The singer of my favorite song of all time was standing at my cash register. I could have fainted. Instead, I gained my composure and got to spend a few minutes talking to a musical legend and his beautiful wife. I'll never forget that day. To his family, my prayers are with you. When I was a young man... my band had the good fortune of playing along with Fred Parris and the 5 Satins. We provided the music and fred and the 5 Satins did their show. Loved them then and now. So sorry to hear of his passing for I will remember them until the day I die. God Bless
