Not sure what to say?

Fred was my best friend through our adolescence. Over the years I lost track of him, but fond memories of times with Fred, Ellen and David. I was very distressed to hear of his passing and wished to express (belatedly) my sincere sympathies to his loving family.

Just read the W & J Alumni Magazine, Winter Edition, tonight to sadly read about Fred. Definitely a very fine friend!

I was so very sorry to hear Fred had passed away and very sorry I was out of town for his service. He was a wonderful colleague, and I enjoyed many years practicing Cardiology alongside him. He was a fantastic Pulmonologist with both great wisdom and a terrific bedside manner. My last visit with Fred was at his office when he helped my wife with a bad bronchitis at the time.

Dear Anne and Family: I am so sorry to hear about your tremendous loss. While I didn´t know your loved one, I heard much praise of his work and dedication. He was always referred to as a very kind man. I worked with you, Anne in Emeryville and know how outstanding you are. Please accept my heartfelt condolences at this tragic time. Warmly, Susan Bucker.

Lisa: So sorry for your loss. Frank Conroy

Dear Anne, So sorry to hear about Fred, my daughter Amy told me today. I have fond memories of our time together so many years ago. Thinking about you and the kids,

Dr Herskowitz was an excellent physician, outstanding mentor and great friend who will be deeply missed by all. My sincere condolences to the Herskowitz family.

To Anne, Howard, Dava, Lisa, Michael, David and grand kids, and the rest of Fred's beloved family: Fred was many things to many people, but to me he was a cousin, neighbor, childhood friend on Paulton street, tennis partner (and "fierce competitor") and role model whose journey through college, medical school and specialty training was just a few years ahead of mine. But most importantly, he was a close friend who made sure we kept in touch and regularly communicated over the years, despite...

Our love and prayers for all the Herskowitz family and many friends and colleagues who love Fred. What a blessing it has been to call him and his dear ones, friends. Fred made a signifiant contribution to Providence Health Care governance as well as clinical care and medical staff leadership. We are grateful to Anne, Lisa, Michael and David for sharing Fred with us, realizing the many days away from family as he served in all his roles. We are with you in spirit during the services honoring...
