Saturday on my way back to Taylorsville from Pageland, I stopped at the Boston Market on Independence Blvd for lunch in memory of Gail. When Gail worked in Mattthews and I was working at the Honda dealership on Independence most Wednesday we met there for lunch. Gail was a wonderful friend from the time she started working at the Charlotte Council on Alcoholism and I am going to miss our telephone visits. You all are in my prayers.

Gail was my college roommate and also the Maid of Honor at my wedding. I can't believe I will never hear her wonderful laughter again and we did laugh a lot at Winthrop College. My parents and Gail's parents were the best of friends. They would go to The Game on Saturdays whether it was at Clemson or USC. They would take trips together and usually include their wild kids. One summer the two families were going to New York and then on to Connecticut to visit some of their relatives. We started out from Pageland and the two cars were separated before we got to Mt. Gail was my sweetheart in first grade and always a friend even though I saw her only occasionally and not recently. If it were not so far away, I would be there today to honor her memory, celebrate her life and remember the sound of her giggle.
