Gail Jennings Obituary

Gail Alecia Jennings
December 31, 1964 - June 28, 2022
Gail Alecia Jennings, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, the 28th of June 2022, after a five-year battle with breast cancer. Gail was born on the 31st of December 1964, in Montego Bay, Jamaica, to Andrez and Nell Clarke.
Gail attended Montego Bay and Immaculate Conception High Schools in Jamaica before graduating from the University of Houston, with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (BBA) in Marketing. After a brief career in banking, Gail focused on being a mother. With her family, she lived in four countries and her perspectives reflected that of someone who had seen a lot of the world. In between dedicating herself to trying to make the world easier for many and through volunteer work, primarily with causes that supported children and or education, she lived a joyful life. Her life was full of travel, style, curiosity, and a desire to create moments that became shared meaningful memories for everyone she touched.
She is preceded in death by her father, Mr. Andrez Clarke. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Nell Clarke; her husband, Mr. Herbert Keith Jennings; and her children, Nathan and Nyla. She is also survived by her brother, Mr. Gary Clarke, his wife and children; and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A funeral service is to be conducted at half-past ten o'clock in the morning Thursday, the 7th of July, at First United Methodist Church, 1320 Main Street in Houston, where Pastor Paul Clines will officiate.
Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family and share remembrances of Gail over light refreshments in the church parlor.
Interment will follow, via escorted cortege, at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway in Houston.
Guests will again be received later that evening at seven o'clock for a casual gathering of family and friends to share remembrances of Gail at a venue to be announced during the services.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in her name be directed to the Cancer Research Innovation Fund at Houston Methodist Hospital.

She held within her an energy, like gravity, pulling people into her orbit and holding them there. She is, and will continue to be, adored by family and friends all over the world. We are grateful for every second we spent with her.
