To the family of Garold "Chop" Cheatham: I met Chop (and Meko) when we were in the 7th grade. He was a quite soul, yet his smile would draw you in. After school we lost track and it would be years before I would run into him again. However, a few years ago I had the great pleasure of an unexpected reunion w/him at a local gas station. We reminisced of our days at Linmoor and talked about our future. I noted then that Chop was that same gentle giant of a man. May the wonderful memories...

I would like to extend condolences to the entire Cheatham family. I had the great pleasure of sharing some great times with Garold “Chop” before my conversion to Christ. I am sure, Cecil, Stormy, Nat…the rest will agree. We all will miss Chop and will hold on to the legacy of his caring spirit. It is always disturbing to hear of a friend’s departure from this earth, but we were only here for one purpose.
