Garry Drummond Obituary
Mr. Drummond is survived by his wife, Peggy Drummond, four children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one brother, and a host of nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by one son, three brothers, two sisters and his parents, Heman and Elza Drummond.
He was a long-time member of the University of Alabama Board of Trustees and served as President Pro Team of the Board. He was the University of Alabama College of Engineering Distinguished Alumni Lecturer in 1987-1988 and was the University's Outstanding Alumnus for 1987-1988.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Big Oak Ranch, Kings Home or Glenwood.

Dear Drummond Family,
Let us all remember that our loved ones always live within our hearts forever.
May all find peace in knowing our loved ones who have passed on are now in the care of our Lord God who has shown his great love for us through his Beloved Son.
Once again I will say through the blessings of our Lord God I had the privilege to work for the Drummond Coal Company at the Cedrum Mines for almost 28 years and it was a blessing indeed to meet many of the Drummond family.

Sending our deepest condolences during this difficult time. Although I had only met Mr. Drummond once, it was a pleasurable memory that I will never forget and feel honored to have had.
Mr. Drummond always made his employees feel like family and took care of them just as such. My husband has been a proud employee for just 3 short years, but is motivated to continue working just as hard, dedicated and loyal in the future as Mr. Drummond so effortlessly modeled.
Each step we take is leading us to somewhere new. Mr. Drummond, you're one step ahead of us all and your leadership will continue to guide the future.

I've never met Mr Drummond, but I've read of all the wonderful things he has done for so many people here in the states & in South America. Anna and I were so sorry to hear of Mr. Drummond's passing. He was a fine man that cared for people that not only worked for him but those in the community that needed help. The last five years of my life have been enriched because of my good fortune of working directly with Mr. Drummond. He will be missed.
