I still think of Gary. We were stationed together at Belvoir, Korea, and saw each other several times while I was assigned to the Philippines after Gary retired.

I have only recently learned of his passing. My deepest condolences, as Gary made all the difference in my Army Aviation Career. His unique & wonderful demeanor, both in & out of the OH-58 A/C cockpit, enabled me to achieve a successful 30+ years of Army Aviation Service to my beloved country. I am & will always be grateful to God & Gary for his patience, unique mannerism of instruction, vast knowledge, huge dedication to duty & most of all, true friendship. I miss Gary's dry wit and have good memories of flying under his tutelage. I am grateful that we were able to cross paths in this life.

I had the pleasure of working and flying with Gary in Kandahar, Afghanistan. He was a pleasure to work with and totally deadicated to family and our country. Fly high Gary! We miss ya!
