GARY RACHLIN D.O.

I knew Gary in college at SUNy Stony Brook. He was my best friend there until I left in 82 for the USN. We lost touch after my wedding in 85. I am so sad for his passing and send all my love to his family. I truly wish I had done a better job at keeping in touch. He was a constant light of Humor and friendship. It was only because of reminiscing that I looked him yesterday and must admit hearing of his death stuck me hard. Again my prayers for Gary and especially his family.

I am Gary Rachlin´s brother, Harvey. Speaking for that part of his family, I am writing to say we remain devastated by his passing. Our hearts are broken, and not a day passes where tears do not flow from our eyes. We are crushed and no words can express the sorrow and emptiness in our family with his loss. He was the shining light of our family, a beacon of inspiration for us all. His beaming personality and golden smile will always light up our memories and hearts but our sadness...

Still miss you and your smiling face and lovable personality. RIP

I still am saddened at the loss of such a wonderful human being . Dr. Rachlin was beyond a caring Dr. He was like a friend who always had time to listen, even if not a medical problem .. His professional and personal demeanor spoke volumes for who Gary Rachlin was . He came to visit my husband at home just to spend time with him.. We all knew he was at the end of life. Dr Rachlin spent 3 hrs just conversing with him & and comforting him. My husband passed the next morning....

I was just thinking about you. Dr Rachlin believed in me as Nurse Manager at Massapequa Hospital. I went on to become a Family Nurse Practitioner thanks to him as my mentor. My condolences to his family. I miss you doc.

It´s been a decade this year and I still miss him more than ever.

Today I had an interview. And I remembered how your old me I would amount to great things. I can´t believe it has been 10 years. Thank you for reminding me how good I am.

As Gary Rachlin's brother and speaking for the Rachlin family, I want to thank all of you who have expressed heartfelt condolences for Dr. Rachlin. His passing has left a whole in our hearts that can never be filled.
