Dr. Gautam Dasgupta

He was a fabulous doctor. He was my boss and a friend. I could call anytime and he was always ready to give me advice and share his life, especially his love for his son. He overjoyed when Amit met his love and started his own family. He was so kind to my late husband, Donny, and me. I just today heard of Dr. D's passing. Amit and Family, please know that I hold you close in my heart, even now. Dr. D was so proud of Amit. He was not one for idle chit chat on the floor, but we always heard about your achievements. I so appreciated his dry wit. He often asked me to accompany him on his rounds on patients on a hospital floor, especially newer patients. Dr. D was a dear friend. I worked for him for over 10 years and was blessed to do so. He was a brilliant physician who gave his all to his patients. He was a wonderful father to his beloved son, Amit and was so proud of him. I remember when he encouraged us to go hear Amit play piano at his recital. So proud! The last time we talked he spoke of his becoming a grandfather. I am thankful for this Dr. and friend. Much love to him and his family.

I have tried to gather words to express how saddened I was to learn of Dr. Dasgupta's death. There are none. My respect and admiration will last always. To Amit and family, I send my heartfelt condolences.
