Groton - Gemma E. Moran, founder of the Gemma E. Moran United Way Labor Food Center, died Tuesday morning, May 16, 2023.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, at Sacred Heart Church, Sacred Heart Drive, Groton. She will be buried privately with her family in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden, Mass.

Dear Gemma, Your passing has left an aching emptiness throughout Southeastern Connecticut. You were loved, respected and revered.
