Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to discover Gemma has gone to the angels. She was a mentor to me. A dear, giving woman. Gemma was like a surrogate mother. I miss her. A lot. I did immortalize her and her wonderful recipes. She lives on.

First, my condolences to all the Sciabica family. I remember Gemma fondly from my first trip to Modesto around 1995. Joseph told me Gemma had prepared some lunch for us. I was astounded to find no less than 6-7 large dishes of different entrees plus multiple desserts. It was a memorable time talking with the all the family and learning of the ancestral connections over coffee and, of course, Joseph's bottle of anisette. Such a wonderful lady!

Nicky & Danny: We were very sorry to learn of Gemma's passing. She was a wonderful person and will be missed by all who knew her. Our condolences to your families. John/Annie Stallone, Greenville, SC

Gemma,
I remenber you making my brother John and my birthday cakes, and you came to our home and showed me how to make macroni and cheese. Those were good times, and now time has gone bye and now I show our granddaughters how to make dishes, I will always remenber how kind your were. God bless you

My Aunt Gemma was the sweetest, kindest, caring, most compassionate and loving woman I have ever known!!!! I miss those great days we had together when she was in her home.....we had great talks, laughs, and did some cooking & baking together. She was always a joy to be around. I will NEVER forget her. I know she is “at peace” now in a beautiful place with her creator and all her family, friends, & acquaintances! Rest In Peace, Aunt Gemma....with love always!♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

My Aunt Gemma was the most loving, kind, caring, & compassionate woman I have ever known. She dedicated her life to her husband, two sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of her nieces, nephews, daughter-in-laws and her close friends. She was the absolute BEST in her cooking, baking....and through all her successes with her five cookbooks and being written up in Sunset Magazine she was always so very down-to earth....when anyone visited her home she would always make them feel so...
