Not sure what to say?

Dear Gene, looking back on all the beautiful engravings You helped me collect for my personal collection and for my clients , I most remember your gentle manner, exquisite taste and beautiful smile. Every time I look at my engravings I think of you. My best goes out to your lovely family,. Please know your legacy lives on in all the lives you have touched.

Gene in Venice.

Having known Gene since 1977 when I first met him at the publishing company in which I worked we became very firm friends due to our business interaction.
Not only was he a very knowledgable and well educated person he was one of the kindest, gentlest people I have ever known.
My husband, Derek, also foudn Gene a super person and both of us will miss him.
His letters I shall keep and pass to my granddaughter who met him in April and I am just so glad that although it was sad

Gene--A very special guy and friend of 35 years. You hold a very special place in my heart. Something will be missing from the world of antiques and beauty. I won't be able to see you and shake your hand, but I know you'll be close by.

I had known Gene for over 30 years.
I started buying prints from him a few years after I graduated from college. He was a patient and kind teacher. I learned a so much from him. I will miss him so much but every time I look at my beautiful antique prints I will remember all our wonderful conversations and his gentle nature. I will never forget him.

Goodbye old friend; damn will I miss you.

Gene will always be in my thoughts. I enjoyed his friendship and company very much. What a great zest for life he had, I will miss him very much. Linda Wills
