Gene was a big help to me in helping the smaller schools in and around Los Angeles. One time he arranged my meetings of 66 school officials for my planting of tree seeds to protect them from lawsuits from the Nature Conservancy- I estimated that he and I saved the taxpayers over 110 million dollars. In in his own quiet way Gene was a hero to me.

Offering our prayers and comfort to the family of Gene Pimentel, definitely a man of integrity. It has been our pleasure to have known Gene these past 15 years, having met Gene and his family through the Atascadero Elks Lodge. May Gene Rest in Peace, and God Bless the Pimentel Family!
