Dad, I need to say thank you for always being the gentle, kind and funny family man. Thank you for setting high family values for me to follow. Thank you for walking me down the aisle and sharing your time with my children though out the years. Thank you for your numerous years of service to our Country, your intellect towards higher education and your community service with the Atascadero Elks. Thank you for always being there for me. Each memory of you that I embrace we meet again, and my heart will never forget the incredible loving and caring Dad you were. I miss you beyond measure.

Gene was a big help to me in helping the smaller schools in and around Los Angeles. One time he arranged my meetings of 66 school officials for my planting of tree seeds to protect them from lawsuits from the Nature Conservancy- I estimated that he and I saved the taxpayers over 110 million dollars. In in his own quiet way Gene was a hero to me.
