I was blessed to work with Mrs. Lenox's daughter, Gen. Reading the messages in this guest book, I realize where Gen got her loving and generous nature. My condolences to the entire Lenox Family.

My heart goes out to ALL of the family, especially you Dad. Genevieve was my mother-in-law and she welcomed me into the family with open and loving arms. She was smart, funny (a good sense of humor), creative, and a great example of love and devotion. The sermon this week at our church happened to be about Matthew 5:4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted". The point our pastor made is that this is not the end of the story. You will be missed but this is not good-bye, we will see you later!

I will always hold Mrs. Lenox as one of my most remembered and beloved teachers. She showed compassion but also accountability. I was in her first 6th grade class at then Park School and when she retired I took over for her as my first teaching job. I can only hope my students will think back on me as fondly as her students do.

I also had Mrs. Lenox for 6th grade at Dover and remember her fondly. Teachers often see things in their students long before those students can see them in themselves. Mrs. Lenox once asked me to befriend a special-needs student that was struggling to make friends. She explained to me that she thought I could help my peer feel better about herself if just one person would show her a little kindness. I hope Mrs. Lenox would be pleased to know that what she said to me that day changed my life. I ended up making a career out of helping special children/adults. Thank you for seeing something in me that I couldn't yet see in myself. Rest in peace, dear lady!

Thoughts and prayers to Mrs. Lenox's family. I had Mrs. Lenox for math and science in the 6th grade. She was a great teacher.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Lenox family. Mrs. Lenox was my all time favorite teacher and her class is still the fondest memory I have from 5th and 6th grade. She cared for and genuinely understood kids. She was a sweet, funny, intelligent, and truly kind lady.

Mrs. Lenox, your picture hangs on the wall of my classroom. I see you every day and you serve as an inspiration to me and remind me of what an educator should be.

Boots, you were my mother in law and my buddy. It's tough to accept the fact that I will not be able to see your sweet smile and enjoy your great hugs till we meet again in the next life. I cry because you are no longer with us, but I am happy that you are no longer in pain. Thank you for accepting me as your son in law and thank you for becoming grandma, great grandma , and great great grandma to the family I brought with me when I married your beautiful daughter almost 23 years ago. They are all grieving . I will miss you , but I will cherish the many memories I have of our times together. Till we meet again-love you
