George W. Adcox Jr.

Easley

George Washington Adcox, Jr., 74, husband of Beatrice Hudson Adcox, passed from this life Wednesday, April 10, 2013.

Mr. Adcox was born in Pickens County, a son of the late George Washington and Mattie Gillespie Adcox. He was retired from Duke Energy and was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church where he was a member of the Auditorium Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Beatrice, of the home, daughters, Christine Baldwin (Ricky) of Easley and Sherry Parker of Liberty, and grandchildren, Kayla Parker, Morgan Parker, and Eric Baldwin.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 PM Saturday, April 13, 2013 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with The Reverend Dr. Roger Couch officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 to 3:30 PM.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Rainey Hospice House in Anderson for the loving care given to Mr. Adcox.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.

The family is at the home.
