George Edward Beattie

Bill and I were truly saddened to recently to hear of George's passing. We all grew up together in South Portland and have many fond memories of baseball and basket ball games where George was a star. Our sincere condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

To Rose Mary and Elaine I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your brother. My Mom and Dad Tena and William Gray were dear friends of your parents and I remember George as a little guy on Orlando St. Again my condolences to you and George's family.

You have suffered a terrible loss. My sympathy to you rosemary and your family. George was a good man and I will remember him well.

George (Commish as we called him) was a great man and will be missed. I am truly sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

So sudden and so sad; George will be missed by so many. Thoughts of him will bring to mind kindness, helpfulness, and an ever present smile. My favorite memory is of him helping fallen victims on ski slopes and retrieving an errant glove, ski, or pole, while always looking well dressed in new outfits and skis. Our memories of George will bring smiles to all of us for many years to come.
