GEORGE H. BERKOWITZ

TO DEAR HARRIET AND FAMILY, JUST RECEIVED THE VERY SAD NEWS OF THE PASSING OF GEORGE. HE WAS A WONDERFUL AND GAVE HELP TO HIS YOUNGER FRIENDS. 1 WAS EXTREMELY PLEASED WHEN HE INVITED ME TO JOIN THE LEGAL SEAFORD DISCUSSION GROUP. IT IS SELDOM THAT ONE HAS THE CHANCE TO BE WITH A MAN LIKE GEORGE WHO WAS, ELEGANT, INTELLIGENT AND KIND. MAY HIS MEMORY BE AN ETERNAL BLESSING.

George was a true gentlemen! I was a member of the Legal Board of Directors for a number of years in the eighties, and was always amazed at the empathy and respect he had for the people who staffed his restaurants. He was also an industry leader in testing for harmful bacteria in fish purchased for his restaurants. A thoughtful, kind and smart leader. He set a standard that made his restaurants amongst the best in the country!

To all the Berkowitz family. I am sorry to hear of George´s passing. I worked at the chestnut hill legal with george and mark in the 70´s. A wonderful experience. I felt part of the "legal" family. My sincere condolences. Dennis Ford
