George Bigley Obituary

George A. Bigley, age 87 of Austin, formerly of San Antonio, passed away on February 26, 2008 in Austin. George was born April 18, 1920 in San Antonio, and graduated from Jefferson High School. After high school he joined the US Army and served in the 1045th Army Air Corp Unit in San Antonio. Mr. Bigley was a clothing manufactory representative for San Antonio and South Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalyn Maurer Bigley; his brother, Charles Bigley. George is survived by his children, Eileen Pester and husband Roland, Michael Bigley and wife Cindy, all of San Antonio; George A. Bigley, Jr. of Ohio; Carol A. Bigley of Austin; sister Lucille (Bigley) Audrey of Kansas; brother, Bill Bigley of California; and five grandchildren; and many other family members. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2008 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio with Military Honors. The family wishes to thank the staff at New Hope Manor for their loving care of our father.
