George Boling

Knoxville, TN

George L. Boling, age 77, of Knoxville, passed away on July 15, 2015. Mr. Boling was a long time member of the Church at Sterchi Hills. One of his biggest passions was riding his Harley Davidsons. He served his country in the United States Navy, where he was a Purple Heart Recipient. Mr. Boiling was also a 3rd degree Mason and a Shriner.

Other than his parents, Paul and Idlee Boiling, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Boling, in 2003; and a nephew, Paul Sweat. Survivors include his loving wife, Betty Boling; siblings, Bill Boling (Carol), Evelyn Tortorich (Pete), J.R. Boling, Raymond Boling (Sandy), and Robert Boling; nephew, Lil Ray Sweat (Bonnie); and nieces, Debbie Francis (Don), Michelle Swenson, and Renee Zeller (Paul); and special friend, Harley Moore.

The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at The Church at Sterchi Hills, with Pastor Joel Tilson, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Entombment will be on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Lynnhurst Cemetery Mausoleum. Everyone is asked to assemble at the cemetery by 12:45 p.m. for the service. Please visit www.berrylynnhurst.com to leave a condolence for the family.
