A Father's Day without you - so sad you're not here. Miss you so much every day, especially this day. Memories of so many things.

Dancing with you as a little girl - you held my hands as we "waltzed" around the room. The music played nice and loud as we danced about as "mother's countenance could not unfrown itself" !

Miss the good times shared, laughter together, the caring and understanding - we are kindred spirits in so many ways. And I so miss your beautiful blue Irish eyes.

"When Irish eyes are smiling sure it's like a morn in spring
In the lilt of Irish laughter you can hear the angels sing
When Irish hearts are happy all the world seems bright and gay
And when Irish eyes are smiling sure they'll steal your heart away."

Dad, how special you are and how lucky I am - thank you for being my father!

All my love forever, your daughter

Oh Gramps how I miss you. I still can't believe you are not on this earth with us. Nothings been the same this past year. I miss your stories, your wisdom, calling to brag that I got final jeopardy right , your smile and your chuckle, and I even miss your grumpy days . You were and will always be the most wonderful, smartest, funniest most important man in my life. And the best grandpa/father I could ever ask for. I know you are watching over me which is my comfort on days like this.
I played the walbash cannonball for you. It brings me so many happy memories. We also put spring flowers and a new plaque out for you and had a blessing done at your site. It was beautiful. I know you were smiling down.
I miss you so much and will until the day I see you again.
Love Always,
Skabeezel

Dearest Papa,

You passed a year ago today - miss you so much every day. So many things I wish I could say and share with you!

"What a beautiful thought I am thinking
Concerning a great speckled bird

She is spreading her wings for a journey
She's going to leave by and by
When the trumpet shall sound in the morning
She'll rise and go up in the sky

With a song never uttered before
She will rise and be gone in a moment
And you'll be joyfully carried to meet Him
On the wings of that great speckled bird"

May the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand until we meet again.

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

Love you forever,
Patty Ann

Oh my papa
To me he was so wonderful
Oh my papa
To me he was so good
No one could be
So gentle and so lovable
Oh my papa
He always understood

Gone are the days
When he would take me on his knee
And with a smile
He'd change my tears to laughter

Oh my papa
To me he was so wonderful
Deep in my heart
I miss him so today
Oh my papa

It's father's day...your day...and I miss you more than ever. I sat with you today to thank you for being the only father I knew. I'm thankful I had the time I did. And thank you for all you did for me throughout my life. You will always be my #1. Not having you here is still not real to me. I hope you're watching over me and you can hear me when I talk to you. I love and miss you so much grandpa. Happy Father's day. Xoxo

Fathers' Day without you, my precious Papa. I'm so so sad, wishing you were here.

You - "special, miraculous, unrepeatable, fragile, tender, sparkling ruby emerald jewel splendor person" I love you.

Dad, the most handsome man with a good heart, the scent of Old Spice, and with beautiful blue Irish eyes! I'll miss all the fascinating stories of your life, your wealth of knowledge and amazing memory, our annual visits to see Rolling Thunder, eating crab legs, doing so many crazy silly things, and so much more.

Waking up to Roy Acuff, bagpippers, John Philip Sousa, " up and at 'em with a college yell, what the day will bring no one can tell". Memories also of going for a car ride in the backyard, me holding on in the back seat, bouncing along, us having a great time! Going for Chinese food and ending up at the Green Dolphin, having a beer or two and playing Charlie Pride on the jukebox. The story you shared with me about the summer night of a baby raccoon was pulling on your pant's leg!

Thank you for my love of music, books, and poetry, my quest for knowledge, compassion to animals and wildlife, Irish sense of humor and wit, the Celtic warrior spirit to fight for injustice, and everything else!

Love you, Daddy so much, the first man I ever danced with - I'll miss you forever.

" If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away"

All my love, your daughter, Patricia Ann
