Dear Chickie:
I was among the large, warm crowd at the the service for George yesterday. You and Andrew were extraordinary; I know that George was so proud of you both.
My father came to this country with no money and no ability to speak or understand English. In George I saw many of my father's qualities, and loved being around a European gentleman.

Chickie,
I have seen a many outpourings of love, admiration and respect, none, however, greater than that afforded George. How DESERVED. How heart-warming. What a wonderful family he leaves, starting with you...a true mensch and a son who is any father's dream and your lovely daughter-in-law, Erin.
Cherish the memories girl!

Dear Chickie and Andrew and Erin,
How stupid was I to think I could get there by 11:15 and still find a seat?
What an extraordinary tribute to an extraordinary man.
Andrew your words were so eloquent, so powerful and so loving. They filled our hearts and our heads.
Dads; I think I am a pretty good one- but I know I could be better . I will never underestimate how important it is to sit on their beds and talk about careers and politics and women and opportunity and life...and...

Dearest Chickie,
George and I became friends at Papert Koenig Lois...over 30 years ago. Thru all those years, he remained true; he never changed. An amusing, loyal, loving and incredible HUMAN BEING.
My deepest condolences.
