Mr. B and Phil and Luke lived close to use and my son spent much of his high school life hanging out at the Broussard home. Blake (my son) told me that I could not imagine how much Mr. Broussard had done for him. I can only thank him for his kindnesses. I last saw Mr. B. outside the music building on ECU's campus. One can only hope to leave the world longing for more of them, and touch as many lives in a positive manner, in death, as this honorable man. We, as musicians, people, and educators owe him a debt, and I hope that we can truly pay it forward in his honor. I will miss you, but will see you again, my brother and friend.

Sherry, I taught both Phillip and Luke in 2nd grade at St.Peter's and always enjoyed talking with George. My 18 year old grandson, Owen Norton, has gone to ECU for their Jazz Camps and may go there to study Jazz next year. Music connects us forever!
