Dear Cindi, Rae-Lynn, Richard & John my deepest sympathy to you and your families. We shared a life when my brother entered yours. He was a great person and showed you all the same loved that he did with his own siblings. I want you all to know that you all brought much joy and happiness to his life as he would often speak prideful of all of you. For that I am truly grateful. Take comfort that the joyous memories of my brother will guide you through this sorrowful time as my brother lived life well. Thank you for loving my brother and being his family.

I am a second cousin of George. My father was Robert Franta, uncle to his mother Dorothy. I remember him as a little kid since I am 7 years older than George. I have many fond memories of his family. Since I live in New Jersey I will be unable to attend the memorial service. Incidentally, my wedding reception was held at Athena Hall in August 1974. My prayers are with your family. Where do I even begin? George Carlson was a great man. He was a wonderful father, husband, brother, friend. So many people were blessed to have him in their lives. He taught me everything from hunting, how to bait a fishing hook, to everyday things like being a respectful person. I see him in Heaven on a big lake with the sun shining out on a boat with a beer in one hand and a fishing pole in the other. Thank you for being a part of my life and my kids life. You will be missed more then you'll ever know.

My brother George was a loving man that had many friend. He would call me at least once a month when I was living in Florida and we laught about the friends being silly. When I moved to Ohio he and I would talk 2 times a week. If you needed something and he was there to help. I will miss him dearly but I know he is in a better place, he is watching over us, so before you do something dumb remember he is watching. Your loving sister Janet
