So sorry to hear that George is gone. His passion for the game was inspiring. I umpired and acted as Umpire in Chief for the Kissimmee Klassic more many, many years and it was, I believe, George's push for excellence that inspired our Umpire Association to create a scholarship fund and tie it to his tournament. He always cared most about the players.
