George Edgar Jones

I knew Ed when I lived in Memphis throughout the 1980s. Every week I washed my clothes at his laundry mat near Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis). He later sent me a copy of his book _Jesus, The Rock of Offense_ (published in 1995), while I was a doctoral student at the Divinity School, Harvard University, a gift which I still own and cherish.
