I knew Ed when I lived in Memphis throughout the 1980s. Every week I washed my clothes at his laundry mat near Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis). He later sent me a copy of his book _Jesus, The Rock of Offense_ (published in 1995), while I was a doctoral student at the Divinity School, Harvard University, a gift which I still own and cherish. Ed and Nellie were also kind enough to let me use the tools in his wood-working shop when I built my own study desk out of Honduras Mahogany, and I am also very indebted to his advise and counsel not only on this project and on many of the challenges that I faced in life. He was a very good man, and I hope to see him again.

Ed's website and faith in Jesus have been my fellowship in my spiritual walk. I thank him for his time in writing these articles and for his faith. I know he is so happy now with the Father. Thank you Ed, God bless you x
