Mrs. Mebane,
I'm sure you don't remember me but I was fortunate to meet you and Mr. Mebane on serveral occasions while working as the social worker for the Child Development Center in Mocksville. Mr. Mebane was a tremendously gracious man. Having 3 children, 2 of which are enrolled in the Davie County School system, I think of him often as my children benefit from his generosity to Davie County. May God bless you and the family during this time of loss.

Marianne,
It was truly wonderful to be in the presence of Allen as I observed him work for the benefit of children the past 5 years. The speakers today were wonderful. Good job of choosing men who really knew him and thought so much of him!
Marianne, I hope you will cherish the memories of the past 21 years. You made him a better man and he truly thought the world of you. God knew what He was doing by making sure Allen went first.
While eating lunch one day, Allen said to me,...

Dear Marianne, Mike, Jay and Lucy
As everyone who knew Mr. Mebane, they will never forget him and the many stories from every aspect will be told again and again about his life and the effect his presence had on their life. My thanks is especially for the life saving help Mr. Mebane and his family gave my wife at the time of her brain aneurysm. More recently Mr. Mebane introduced me to the Storehouse for Jesus in Mocksville. Many thanks to Mr. Mebane for his help to me and the Storehouse.

To Mike and family,
I was very sad to hear the news of the passing of Mr. Mebane. Allen was a man amongst the greatest of men and commanded the respect of all he met! Allen was a man of vision and a leader in every circle in which he was involved.
I will always fondly remember how he seemed to always show up at my meetings with Alf when I was with HCC selling to Unifi to see what new and exciting products we were talking about and how I had to be careful when he would say things...

Dear Family of Cousin Allen,
I was honored to talk with Cousin Allen last fall by phone a couple of times. He called me after I sent him a note through one of his staff(whom I met while on vacation in Martha's Vineyard). He had previously spoken with my late father (D. Philip Mebane) over the years and my own Uncle Alan Mebane. He gave me permission to call him "Cousin Allen" and was very generous to give me good advice about my health regimen and business, which I am striving to...

I am very sorry to learn of the passing of Mr. Mebane. Mr. Mebane offered me a job when I was fresh out of College and didn't know what I wanted to do. He was also a great friend of my father, Jim Allen. JH Allen, Inc. built many facilities for Mr. Mebane and Unifi. Dad thought the world of this man and I do too. Thank you, Mr. Mebane, for your friendship to my dad and your guidance to me many years ago.
To the family, I am very sorry for your loss. Mr. Mebane was a real hero to...
