Coach Moody inspired me in so many ways to become the man I am today. I played quarterback for him at Elizabeth City State University. He was more then a Coach and more like the father I never had. He has been that person in my life who helped me make those life changing decisions. After college we would talk often. My family would visit he and Dr. Lessie Moody and they treated my wife, kids like family. He was Heaven sent to a small town kid who he always inspired...

To the entire family; I offer my prayers and condolences. George was one of my earliest influences to become a runner. He watched me and the other boys racing up and down Hobson Street. Once he saw I could keep up with the guys who were 4,5years older than I, he began to encourage me. I was in elementary school at the time. I ran all the time after that.
