George Moody

I always thought so much of Coach Moody. Please accept my condolences for your loss.

HI, I like send my condolences to the Moody family on the passing of your love one. I know he will be truly missed. I had the pleasure of playing football for coach Moody at ECSU. I will continue to lifted the family up in prayer.

Coach Moody may you rest in peace. I'm fortunate to have been able to cross paths with you as one of your players at VSU. Even now...years later...as I coach football myself I find myself echoing the same phrases to my players as you once did...I can still hear you loud and clear Coach as if it was yesterday.."Sam Bradley!!" This one hurts...
Coach Moody inspired me in so many ways to become the man I am today. I played quarterback for him at Elizabeth City State University. He was more then a Coach and more like the father I never had. He has been that person in my life who helped me make those life changing decisions. After college we would talk often. My family would visit he and Dr. Lessie Moody and they treated my wife, kids like family. He was Heaven sent to a small town kid who he always inspired...

George was a good man and a dear friend.Bless his family.

My condolences to the Moody/Overton families. George was one of my favorite people, a great guy. His caring ways and quick wit will be missed.

To the entire family; I offer my prayers and condolences. George was one of my earliest influences to become a runner. He watched me and the other boys racing up and down Hobson Street. Once he saw I could keep up with the guys who were 4,5years older than I, he began to encourage me. I was in elementary school at the time. I ran all the time after that. I later went on to Virginia State, where I ran for the same Coach that George had, William "Pete" Bennett, who also grew up in Portsmouth. I...
