GEORGE NICHOLSON

When I first met George, it was as a new author whom his wonderful colleague at Sterling Lord, Erica Silverman, had just taken on. Amazingly, he found the time to sit with me each time I came to New York, or to take me out to lunch, and amazingly, he was unfailingly encouraging. I'll always feel indebted to George for his generosity in making me feel like a part of his world, even as I still had so much to learn. I send my deepest condolences to his family and associates.

George was my boss at both Dell and Holt. He was both a wonderful mentor & friend .....I will remember him fondly always.

George was one of the bright lights in my life as well as a beacon to so many others in the world of children's books and he will be deeply missed.
