Not sure what to say?

George may you rest in peace with Debbie Do. Look over Jackie, Jordan, Justin, and Shaina.

I knew George as a friend and nursing colleague for many years and was shocked to hear of his passing with pancreatic cancer! He was always positive, loved and bragged about his family, and cheerful and loyal to his friends. I will miss his philosophical discussions, our writing endeavors, and coffee at Congress. My prayers go to Jackie and his family.

George has been my friend and nursing colleague for many years. I was shocked to hear of his passing with pancreatic cancer. He was always positive, cheerful, loved his family, and was loyal to his fiends. George, I will miss you and will think of you with every Congress, article and heated discussion.

George will certainly be missed in the AORN community as well. I send my thoughts and prayers to all the family. May you experience God's "peace that passeth all understanding."

We will miss your humor and ability to make hard work fun. You made a difference and left your mark in Army healthcare. This candle is lit in memory of a wonderful, thoughtful man. I will miss you. Jackie, Justin and Jordan I have you in my thoughts and prayers.

Rest in Peace, my friend. It was such a pleasure working with George. His energy, sense of humor and passion for his work will always be remembered in the fond memories made during our many travels. Thanks for the teaching, along the way. Prayers to Jackie and the family.

To all of the family,
I had the opportunity to work with George for a few years establishing the National Intrepid Center of Excellence. He was not only passionate about the work we were doing but was also very kind. He would go out of his way to provide rides for my collegue and I to and from the metro stop as we did not have the credentials to get onto the Bethesda campus. He always went above and beyond and I considered him a friend. He will be truly missed.

May God bless our dear Jackie and all of George's precious family,... with a special peace and comfort that only "He" can give them at this time. Sending you all much Love and Prayers!

Jackie, Justin, Jordan, and ShainaBeth ~ It was a blessing knowing George. His kindness to my late father (peanut brittle!) and sacrificial and invaluable help for my daughter's wedding are kindnesses I always remember and try to pay forward. You will be missed by those of us here, and enjoyed eternally by your Father and Savior. Blessings and prayers to you all. Maureen and Steve Shannon+
