George J. Ohlweiler

I just Googled George's name and am very sad to see that he died 2 years ago. He and I were best friends in high school, we had such good times tooling around in his maroon stick-shift Chevrolet Corvair, going into downtown New Haven and surrounding towns. His mother and step-father, Lelette and "Uncle Bill", were also wonderfull people, like a second set of parents to me. Only had the pleasure of being George´s friend for the last 7 years but he was one of the best friends I´ve ever had. Felt like I knew him my whole life. My condolences to his family.

George was one of the kindest people I have known- always willing to help anyone. He also had a wicked sense of humor that I miss. I share and swap the stories often but they are too priceless to print.

Prayers to George's family. He was such a nice man and always took very good care of me when he worked at Long Trail Auto and it was a pleasure to talk with him when we´d see him at the Dorset Inn. So sorry for your loss.
