Dear Lydia, Karl,and Mark,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and we pray God will help you through this difficult time.
It has been such a pleasure to have George in our life. He was a gentleman, and always made me smile. I have so much respect for him as a veteran serving his country during WWII, and his work and dedication to the US Government. He was wise and knowledgeable in history and religion. He loved his family very much, and would do anything for them.
Now you are at a better place, but you will forever remain in our memory.

During my many years at NCS, George never failed to brighten any day with a quiet greeting or a kind word. He was a true gentleman, dignified, unpretentious, caring, wise and thoughtful. I am blessed to have known him.

Though I retired just over a year ago I often thought about this fine gentleman; intelligent, witty, and so proud, it was truly an honor to have known him and his family. Bless you Karl.

My condolences to Mrs. Robertson and the entire Robertson family. Mr. Robertson served for many years as a minister of hospitality, a role in which I met Mr. Robertson when I first started to come to the Cathedral of St. Matthew in the late 1990s helped me to decide to continue attending Mass at the Cathedral. Later on, I learned that he lived in the same area of the District of Columbia as Cathedral Deacon Ulysses Rice (who entered eternal life in January 2014). From their conversations in the sacristy, in addition to observing his warm, friendly personality, which I knew, I also came to know of Mr. Robertson's great sense of humor and wisdom. It was an honor to be able to know Mr. Robertson. I will miss him but will nourish my good memories of him with my daily prayers for him as he continues with the next stage of life.
