Not sure what to say?

Dear Virginia,
I just learned this morning that George had died. I'm so sorry about your loss but know that in time memories of George will bring you more smiles than tears. On Easter Sunday I was playing some 40's tunes for the Sisters and when we came to "Side by Side" I told them about the many times I was at Slevin/Kelly gatherings when George and Kathleen would sing that song with much gusto and very little harmony. I have so many happy memories.

My best wishes to you and your family.

Paul Kryloff

Dear Virginia, How hard this must be for you. I will be praying for you. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. I'm right down the street so let's get together later. Dolores Stone

We love you and your family Joanie! We pray for you all!

To Cindy and all the Slevins, (Maquires, Healy's, Coles, Mattimores and more...) --

Well they just don't make 'em like that anymore do they? What a wonderful tribute and moving description of a life well lived. Many, many thousands of people have laughed and smiled just a little bit more because of his walk on this earth... and continue to do so because of the legacy he gave to you, our dear Cindy, and every one of his children and grandchildren. I dare anyone NOT to smile, giggle...

Tom,
Your Father sounds like my kind of Irishman. I'm sorry for your loss.

My dearest Cindy...my heart felt condolences to you and your family. You are in my thoughts and prayers remembering your dad and all that he gave in life to you and your family. Love you, Brigid

Our prayers and condolences to Virginia and family.George and I went into the Army on the same day, November 10, 1952 but had known each other much before that. He was always the same, fun to be with, and always made you happy to have been with him. We later worked together in the Savings and Loan business and we continued to enjoy each other's company. Those of us that knew him well preferred "Chubby" to George and we are grateful for the times we had together. May he rest in peace.

Dear Tom & Terry, Kylee & Shannan & Connor,
My deepest sympathies on your loss of this extraordinary gentleman. Every person wishes he or she could have a dad or grandad like George Slevin. And every parent wishes he could have kids and grandkids like all of you. I'm sure you brought him infinite joy. He will rest easy knowing you will carry on his fine legacy of living life to its fullest. God bless the Slevin families.
