George "Carvy" Snell III

I am so saddened to hear of Carvy's passing. He was such a great man, a true gentleman, a kind soul and had a quick wit. He always treated me very well and was always helpful in promoting positive news stories about the Metter Police Department while I was there. Praying for the Snell family. Dennis Nelson

I just heard the incredibly sad news about Carvy. My love goes out to the family and everyone who adored him. He was a kind man, a talented newspaper guy and an even better community organizer. I was fortunate to have him as a mentor during my time at The Metter Advertiser, and everyone who cares about Metter and Candler County is lucky to have had him as a champion for the community.
