George was salt of the earth.. I knew him as a neighbor, colleague and friend. His cool exterior masked a deep concern and commitment to deliver his best at all times. I had the good fortune of meeting George and Eileen back in 1968 when we both joined the Foreign Branch of Immigration . He was the first lad I ever met from Saskatchewan and a most worthy and proud representative . George had a great sense of humor and was known by us as the "Grey Fox ".
