I have such difficulty with the permanent absence of a dear friend. Since 1964 to Dec 2008 George and I had many wonderful quite meals. He sold me my house at Grand View and since he moved across the street he shared my joys in my marriage and the birth of my two children.

So sorry to hear of George's death. He sold me my first watch at the Jefferson Avenue store, a Rolex that I still wear today. My prayers and thoughts go out to his family for their loss.

in 1940 George allowed me to purchase a cameo ringfor my Mother paying .50 weekly which I earned at Woolworths onm Jefferson Ave.He was a special person at that time and I understand he has been thru the years several of the girls in East End worked at the store on Fri.after school and Sat. I have the ring and wear it often and remember the childhood friend that made it possible to give my Mother a gift she cherished thru the years and I as well.Thought you may enjoy this .God Bless...
