Not sure what to say?

I was George's insurance agent in Cortland NY. He was kind and gentle soul. May he rest in peace with the Lord.

I am so sorry to read of my good neighbor's death. He was a fine man and my family were very fond of him and knew him for many years. One year, at our library book sale, he told me about the book(s) his sister had written about their growing up years and subsequent years. He made sure that I had a copy and it now has a place of honor in the Southworth Library book collection. He was, indeed a kind and gentle man and brave and independent in his old age. I shall miss him very much.

George has led an honorable life. He was a quiet, unassuming and humble man. He had faith in his Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. In the Winter when he couldn't get to church on Sunday he would stay home and read one of his father's (Lutheran minister) sermons. He has been an example to me of integrity, steadfastness and loyalty. George loved flowers, plants and trees and his favorite outings were to the Arboretum in Ithaca N.Y. I will dearly miss my cousin "Gewi" (George) as we called...

Onkel Gewi was a kind man who was in tune with nature. I have many fond memories. He will be greatly missed.

We have very fond memories of Georg from our time at St Pauls Church. He was a solid man of faith. Tom & Cyndy Syvertsen
