I was just a kid who watched this elegant man walk into the box office at the MUNY everyday. I would wish him a "good morning" and he would smile and exchange a greeting and then one day I followed him into the box office and sat down to have a conversation with him. That was the day I realized that I was part of the MUNY family. My prayers are with Angie, Larry and the entire family. Julie x

Dear Angie & Larry, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your father was a wonderful gentleman. He was always so kind to me and Jaci. His ready smile, quiet quips, quick wit and genuine interest always made our conversations a bright spot in our day. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Marjean Shofner & Jaci (Shofner) Peterson

Show business in St. Louis and George Walsh are synonymous in my mind. It seems as though every box office I was at, there was George behind the counter. And always with a smile, a pleasant word, a gentle calmness. My father, Milton, used to bring corned beef and a deli platter to George and his crew at The Muny on Sunday mornings, and I know, from the way he spoke of George, that he treasured his friendship with him. My wife Mary Lee and I will miss him. The theaters will have one empty seat...

Prayers and great memories of George today after the most wonderful memorial service ever held. SRO. George would have liked it, I am certain. God Bless the entire Walsh family!!!

Our sympathy and love to the Walsh family. Mr.Walsh was the kind of man that every man should want to be like. His caring ways and that sense of humor was wonderful. I will miss him. Is there a box office in heaven???
