I am so sad to hear of the death of George. I remember him with fond memories from working with him at Eli Whitney School. He was a kind and gentle man. I will always remember him with love and kindness when I was going through a family break-up and at our Whitney end of the year picnic he took the time to play baseball with my son and 2 daughters and put smiles on their faces. Dear Mrs. Wines, I am grateful for all the encouragement that Mr. Wines gave to my children at St. Ann school. He was so kind and gentle in his way of engaging them keeping their interest. Dear Mrs. Wines, Your husband was a kind and gentle teacher who helped my son during his years at Eli Whitney at a time when learning disabilities were not recognized or supported.
