Ms. Allen was my drama teacher/coach at Charles Lincoln Harper High School in Atlanta, GA for one year in the 1960's.
In later years, I followed her acting career with curious delight. The characters she was cast in, were so unlike the Georgia I knew. She was bold, feisty, and uncompromisingly frank.
