I did not know about your mother until I read of her passing in the Poe Museum newsletter. I am so sorry for your loss, but your mother will live on in the memories of the people who knew her. I, personally, can remember several of our lively conversations pertaining to Edgar Allan Poe.

I shall always have the fondest of memories of a kind, generous and caring woman whose passion for life will certainly live on in her children, grandchildren and all who had the great good fortune to have known her.

I recall the first time I saw her, I was rather intimidated by her appearance. She seemed so much more refined than most people, but upon conversing with her, she was one of the sweetest ladies I could hope to talk to. It is such a great loss to this city to lose such a compassionate, classy lady. Many people could take a lesson from the way she treated others.

What a wonderful tribute given to Mom and Grandma describing the wonderful accomplishments of a special person from a special time in the 20th century. A champion and lover of life who passed on to her children and others that great quality. May Mrs. Rawles rest in peace with God. The Basmajian Family.

to Jamie, Rika, Lula Boo, You are in my thoughts and prayers. In life you run across a few unforgettable characters, Gina was one of them. Your day was always brightened by her. She always made you feel special. and you ALWAYS knew where you stood with Gina! it was my pleasure to sell here several vehicles! The dealership loved it when Gina would come by! What a very cool Lady! She may have come from oversea's, but to me she represented what every Virginian should aspire to be! Not a Fake...
