Gerald had an enduring influence on me for which I am grateful. As a little girl growing up on a tobacco farm, he encouraged me to go to college. He told me many times "Where there's a will there's a way." I became a teacher and was blessed to know this man of God and his wonderful wife Billie. Linda Giles Carr, Gretna, Virginia

I'll never forget Brother Buckley coming to my parents house when I was 9 years old and guiding me through the process and prayer of accepting Christ and baptizing me. He was a very special man!

Gerald and I started first grade together and graduated together at Hattiesburg High. He was the pastor at my parents and many of my relatives funerals. He was a good friend and will be missed. Louis and Sandra Schweizer

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to family and friends, for the lost of their beloved Gerald. I hope the promise at John 6:39 can bring real comfort. Knowing that there is hope for our lost love can be reassuring.
