Today, remembering Jerry, I looked in the internet to find his contact information so I could say hi. Regretfully, my search uncovered the very sad news that he is no longer with us. Jerry was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor, an avid watch repair enthusiast among other things besides being a great ophthalmologist. Although it has been 6 yrs since Gerry left this earth to meet God, it feels like yesterday. Always kind, thoughtful, and supportive, he was more than a life long friend. He was family. He helped us with our mother who considered him a son; my siblings & I thought of him as a brother. Long will I remember our many laughs and visits. Thank you, Gerry. May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Miss my friend and think of him often, like whenever I see old cars or something ridiculous we would enjoy laughing about. Hope Judy, Leland and Grace are well.

My son was a patient of Dr. DeWitt and we are both shocked to hear of this great loss. My family extends our deepest sympathy and prayers to the DeWitt family.
