I would like to thank all of you for your kind words about my Gramps. I'm going to miss him very much, but it's comforting to read what he has meant to all of you.

I hayed and fed and farmed and ranched with Dave Nelson seven years and never knew a man like him in all my life; I'll never forget the support he could give the crew, he did everything, 24/7.
Despite all that like all the others we all know he could not get by this one.
The world and the Lost River Valley should never forget the kind of man Dave Nelson was. We will miss him but remember him forever.
Thanks. David E. Gabert

Dear Heather, I'm so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I always appreciated my association with him. Especially when he facilitated a meeting between me and my cousin Joe Hammond. That was special. May God bless you.
